Giveaway has ended, thanks for entering.
Are you are still on the lookout for that gift for a good friend, a teacher, an aunt, a mom, a sister, a son or nephew, or even yourself? :)

Well then, this is for you:
For the Sew Mama Sew giveaway day I am giving away a zipper case for your sunglasses. This case is also good for your reading glasses as well. The inner layer of most of the cases offered are made with a soft microfiber fabric to prevent dust and lint getting on your lenses. Some others have cotton fabric as the liner.
The zipper cases are made with a layer of fusible interfacing to add structure and an inner layer of cotton batting for softness and protection to your eye wear. Here are a few examples of the cases.

I decided to offer some in little boy fabrics because my little guy may be getting glasses very soon and I am in such fear as to how we are going to keep them safe... He's an active boy and so maybe something with boy attraction will help keep them safe. (I can hope can't I?)
My husband even requested one for himself in all black. It's not very often he requests me to sew something for him.

The winner of my giveaway will get to look through my shop and see what sunglasses/eyeglasses case you would like to have. I will pack it up and ship it out at the end of the week for you to receive in time for Christmas if you are hoping to give it away as a gift.
To enter the giveaway just leave a comment with your NAME and your EMAIL address if you have no other way to get a hold of you from your blog. And for a little fun, tell me if you wear glasses or if any of your children do. How old were you and what kind of interesting stories/tips can you tell me as a mother of a child with glasses?
For example: I'm Edith and I have a little brother who wore glasses. When he was 6 or 7 he was playing out side and didn't want to break his glasses (he had broken them many times before) so he took them off and put them in a safe place to get later. The safe place just happened to be right behind the rear tire of the family car parked in the driveway. This is the kind of thing I worry about with my son :)
-my giveaway will end Friday, Decemebr16th when I go to bed.
-you can enter if you are international.
-be sure to stop by the sew mama sew blog to participate in many other giveaways. The official linkup starts Monday, December 12th.
-If you want to have a second entry, then feel free to tell me you are a follower of my blog in a separate comment.
-If you want a 3rd entry, then feel free to tell me you are a follower of edeenut on facebook in a separate comment.

Count me in! I wear glasses but didn't get them until I was 14 so I was pretty responsible with them by that point. My kids destroy our glasses though! I feel like once a week they have somehow gotten into my purse and get into my glasses case. Little stinkers!
ReplyDeleteWow- those are awesome, and I'm such a dork, just putting my sunglasses in my purse without a case to protect them. This would be great.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I wear glasses and the kids are constantly touching them!

Oh these are great! I really love the zig zag yellow one.
ReplyDeleteI am constantly loosing my sunglasses. I'll buy a pair, wear it for some of the summer and then it will go missing. We were cleaning out our lost and found at work and came across a few pairs, my boss offered them up and I declined and then realized that this was a free pair of sunglasses, so it didn't matter if I lost them or not! I've had them for nearly a year now and haven't lost them so far! I'm going to see if I can keep it up.
I have reading glasses that I got when I was 14? or so. I don't wear them as often as I should... And I think my eyes are getting worse. It's time for a check up!

I started wearing glasses in 2nd grade. As well as my kids. My advice is to always get them a second pair that they can wear at home/play/falling asleep. This way they will always have a good pair to wear out.
ReplyDeletewhat adorable little glasses pouches! thanks for the fun giveaway. I wear glasses but didn't start until I was a teenager, so don't have any good tips. I do remember as a young kid (maybe 6 or so), one of my best friend's little sisters had to wear glasses from as early as she could keep them on. As a three year old she was always losing them, and I remember one time searching for over an hour before we found them in a high window sill across from an unused loft bedroom. Totally random place. Good luck with your boy!
ReplyDeleteI hated wearing sunglasses as a child but love wearing them now. Tips with wearing them with kids...buy them cheap! Mine are always getting scratched/dropped.
ReplyDeleteI love these! I wear contacts now, but I started wearing glasses in elementary school. I even had to wear bifocals to train my eyes! Eep!
ReplyDeleteYour cases are lovely! I have a pair of Kate Spade reading glasses that I adore and my little girl would certainly love a pair like Mommy's but her vision is perfect so she'll just have to wait! I always admit when I am wrong, am not afraid to change my mind, and always apologize when necessary to my daughter. I think it is really important for my child to know I am not perfect.
ReplyDeleteI wore glasses as a child and I hated them. My daughters are still too young to wear them, but my husband and I are short-sighted so I guess they'll end up wearing them too.
ReplyDeleteMy tip... Well, never worry about stylish frames, in twenty years they all will look horrible when looking at the photo album.
Thanks for the chance to win.

I'm Catherine and I don't wear glasses, but my little guy does. I don't have any funny stories, but can say that they were a struggle until we got plastic ones (miraflex) which have been AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!
I've worn glasses since I was 5...didn't treat them very well until high school when seeing the board actually seemed like an important thing to do!
ReplyDeleteanniecbates at gmail dot com
I didn't need glasses until I was 40! I can't see a thing without my readers. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI got my glasses in college. When I take my glasses off at night, I don't fold them. I was told it makes the hinges last longer.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
The kiddies and me are sunglass wearers. It's daddy who has the glasses in this house!
ReplyDeleteI do wear glasses and so does my daughter. What a great and useful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteestrella8888 at roadrunner dot com
Awesome, I totally need one of these for my sunglasses!
ReplyDeleteI'm Amber and I've worn glasses since I was 14! I actually don't own a niceglasses case either, if youvan believe that! I have a 2 year old boy and another on the way. My best tip: sometimes asking for a hug totally diffuses a tantrum.
ReplyDeleteAmbersewwonky (at) yahoo (dot) com
The pink flowered case with the pleats is so cute! The pleats were such a great idea.
ReplyDeleteYour glass cases are fabulous. I didn't need glasses until I was 55 for reading! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteI started wearing glasses when I was 9. I was told to look across the street at the building there. It wasn't until I had my glasses on that I realized that it was a brick building and I could see the bricks! Looking back as an adult I wonder how long I had such bad vision before getting glasses.
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses, but I didn't get them until I was in high school so I was old enough to be careful with them. I switched to contacts after a year or so, and that was even easier!
ReplyDeletemindfulhome at gmail dot com
I do wear glasses, for distance. I was working for an ophthalmologist the summer before university, and the boss asked me to get the license plate for a car parked illegally in our lot. I blinked and squinted and said, "Nobody can see that far." The whole office went quiet.
ReplyDeleteHe walked up from behind, tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Get in the chair."
Been wearing them ever since. :)
My only parenting advice I stole from Dori the blue fish in "Finding Nemo": Just keep swimming. :)
Happy holidays!
No one in my family wears glasses but I do need a sunglasses case! My kids keep bending mine!
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how much I need one of these! :) I'm so careless with my sunglasses and they're all scratched up. If I win, I'll buy a new pair and keep them either in this case, or on my face! :) I've been wearing glasses since I was in kindergarten! My first pair were pink and the frames were SO HUGE for my face. Haha.
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses and I LOVE them! jinglesells at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing glasses since I was 9 years old- and a great case is so important! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteTo this day, I quote the Brady Bunch episode when Jan had to get glasses. "Glasses!! ANYTHING but GLASSES!"
I don't wear glasses but I have sunglasses that need a cute case!
ReplyDeleteI ordered my first reading glasses on saturday and i can fetch them end of the week. so a bag for them would be great !
ReplyDeleteI am 31 and my name is Marion
kaeferchen17 (at) yahoo.de
I wear glasses, but didn't get them until I was an adult.
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses since I was about 13, the strangest thing was not being able to focus on anything if I looked downwards, still freaks me out now!
ReplyDeleteI've been lucky, considering my genetics, not to have to wear glasses, although, like a total poser, I wore some plain glass ones in college. My kiddos like their sunglasses too- my littlest in aviator shades is quite a sight!
ReplyDeleteWe are blessed with perfect eyesight in the family, but killer sunshine out on the prairies, so we all own several pairs of sunglasses.
ReplyDeletecynsaw2@yahoo.ca
Very cool giveaway! I wear glasses and have done since I was 11 or 12. My poor older brother has been wearing them since 1st grade, I believe, and even had to graduate to bifocals before he was 12.
ReplyDeleteI started out wearing glasses in grade school.bummer! then in my 20s wore contacts.. now wear bifocals.. I hope I dont go blind soon! lol In the 80's I had a pair of those BIG frames tinted blue!! haha with my name embossed in the lenses.. so 80's!
ReplyDeletethese glasse keepers are adorable! thanks and I follow!
suezneal at gmail
I got glasses in 5th grade. They were big and they were green. I was thankful for the contacts I got in 7th grade. But glasses have come so far!!!
ReplyDeleteHave worn glasses since I was in first grade. Help your kiddo to feel that glasses are a helpful and cool thing; otherwise, he may crush them accidentally on-purpose on the playground. :) roguekeri at live dot com
ReplyDeleteI wear "reading glasses" which I currently only use on the computer when I remember. I have worn them off and on since I was in junior high school, and only when I've gotten reading headaches. (Yep, I'm a bad eye patient.) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI got glasses when I was 16, just after I got my braces off. Horrible, large RED glasses that I can't believe my mother let me pick out. I joke (sort of) that it wasn't fair: I got glasses AND braces. My twin got neither.
ReplyDeleteI had to get glasses in 5th grade when I realized I couldn't see the chalkboard very well anymore. I remember being so nervous about people making fun of me, especially because it was a new school as well. But, then I met two girls who wore glasses as well and we became best friends all the way through high school. Also, in 9th grade I was able to get contacts and have worn them since. I have my glasses for backup though. Now that I am older I am thinking of Lasik but am holding off for a couple years for that.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Abby! I love the glasses cases! I've been wearing glasses for the past two or so years, ever since I had my eyes checked in school and found out one can't see distance! It was such a weird day when I found out. Right now my glasses case is purple and plastic and not as nice as these!
ReplyDeletedramallama56(at)hotmail(dot)com
I don't wear glasses, but my nephew does. He has worn very thick glasses since before he was able to walk. they are so adorable now, but I know he will hate them later.

I got my first pair of glasses when I was 20, and now I mostly wear contact lenses. I would love a case for my sunglasses!
ReplyDeleteourbusylittlebunch(at)hotmail(dot)com
Hi I have just started to need little magnifying glasses as I am struggling to thread the needle. your cases are adorable.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I just broke my sunglasses since they didn't have a case. I have worn glasses (contacts now, mostly) since the fifth grade, but I probably needed them earlier. With switching schools many times in elementary, I must've slipped through the vision-testing cracks and didn't realize that everyone else could see the board! Silly kids.
ReplyDeleteI like Orange Dots around the Circle. I use glasses since I was 18 and lucky my 2 daughters don't need it yet ( my husband also wear it)
ReplyDeletei love the orange polka dots. it's the favourite color of my girl and she will certainly loves it!
ReplyDeleteYour cases look awesome! I wear glasses, and have since I was 16. Good luck to your little guy :)
ReplyDeleteBest,
Michelle
daydreambelievershop(at)gmail(dot)com
Hi, I wear glasses sometimes but mostly wear contacts. My dad has always worn glasses from a bubs
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses since I was in first grade! My first pair were pale pink with little pastel dots. Everyone in my family wears glasses of some sort or another. Nowadays, I mentally make fun of hipsters (a population I encounter quite frequently) and say "HA! I was cool BEFORE YOU! 'Cause I wear glasses 'cause I NEED to!" :-)
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses. My 10yr old also wears glasses but we had no idea until last year how bad is vision is. I thought it was a mistake when they checked his eyes at school.

ReplyDeleteI wear glasses, but I didn't get them until I was in high school, so I don't have any tips for kids with glasses.
ReplyDeletei wear glasses, got them when i was 28. love those cases!
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses. I got them when I was about 25. My 7 year old son starting wearing glasses about 6 months ago. It's all been going well so far. We let him pick the frames he liked so that he'd be happier about wearing them. He hasn't broken them yet, but he only needs to wear them indoors.
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! I wear glasses- ever since high school. I originally started wearing them for night driving and such. My friends would start to panic, when 15 minutes down the road I would say nonchalantly "I can't see the road signs- I should probably be wearing my glasses". I've gotten much better since then =)
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! My husband and I both wear glasses but we both got them when we were middle school so old enough to take care of them, I'm sure our kids will end up needing them too when they get that age. I don't really have any tips for kids with glasses. Thanks for the chance to win though!
ReplyDeleteokiedokiemama at yahoo dot com
I got glasses in 4th grade. Big Lowly Worm plastic glasses. Awful. I started wearing contacts in 7th grade, but still wear glasses at night since I have terrible eyesight. I love your cases.
ReplyDeletekristie_keely(at)yahoo(d0t)com
Till now I have broken 2 pairs of sunglasses just because I put them in the bag without a case which was bulky anyway. I dont wear glasses but my parents do so there is always a lot for glasses around the house
ReplyDeleteLove the sunglass cases, especially the one in the second picture, very cute.
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses since the 3rd or 4th grade. My tip. Don't trust your glasses to anyone else!! I used to have separate prescription glasses and sunglasses and I took off my glasses to wear the sunglasses to drive everyone to a graduation ceremony. My mom was in the car with me and told me she'd hold my glasses. Yeah, she held them all right, in her lap, and when I dropped her off in front of the convention center she forgot about the glasses. Needless to say I found them several hours later all mangled! YES, I can blame that one on my mother!
Now I have the clip on sunglasses but I found they still need a case or they get scratched.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

When I was a kid, I had a plastic case that opened when I pressed a button on it. I loved keeping my glasses in it because it was fun to open and close the case!
ReplyDeleteIf I win, I'm going to keep these for myself. I have some sunglasses I never wear because the case is so bulky to carry around. This is perfect! I started wearing glasses when I was in 3rd grade, then didn't need them again until I was about 16. In fact my new glasses should be ready next week!
ReplyDeleteI started wearing glasses this year and I'm 32 but before that my eye sight was great. I love the glasses cases you made!
ReplyDeleteshilobeedy@gmail.com
Love your zipper cases! I wear reading glasses for a couple of years now and since a few months a multi-focal pair as well.
ReplyDeleteMy eldest daughter (now 23) has glasses since she was 7 months old, so we bought her lots of pairs as the number always changed fast, she lost them or they broke after they fell, someone stepped on it in Kindergarten etc. She has minus 17 and These special kid-glasses are expenses, so we bought those that go around the ears. They won't fall of so easy. Also kid-glasses must be flexible (as not to break easily) and anti-scratch lenses will also help. My girl would also throw them away from the stroller or the bicycle seat, so we would have to check all the time if she still had them with her. And on school-trips a connecting cord is a good thing as well (those cords connecting the glasses so they can hang around the neck?)so they don't drop accidentally into waterfalls etc. :)
I wear glasses! I have since I was about 6 years old, alas. I don't have any kid-glasses tips for you, as I loathed mine and couldn't wait to get contacts. Now I don't mind as much, but OH how I hated glasses in winter - fogging up as you went indoors, freezing up as you went outdoors... ARGH. :)
ReplyDeleteI started to wear glasses at 6-when I started school. Until then, noone knew that I could not see. I still remember the moment when I looked up and realized that tree have separate leaves, not just blobs. I think that like any child, mine were broken every year. That tape around the nose piece was such a good look! Love your glasses cases.
ReplyDeleteWe don't wear glasses in my little family. But the 3 of us love our sunglasses :)
ReplyDeletemrs.pulido@hotmail.com
wearing glasses ... I got the first ones when I turned 4 and wore them obediently till I decided with 6 I didn't need them anymore and kept "accidently" smashing them (eventually I just didn't get one anymore) - untill it was time to get the driving lisence and I failed the mandatory sight test.
ReplyDeleteI don't think there is anything you can do about him breaking his glasses ...
My dad & I started wearing glasses when I was 7, and we had the same prescription. How weird is that?! When I broke my glasses (more than once), I always got headaches and even cried in my sleep. As my eyes got worse, I had to know where my glasses were put down because I couldn't see to find them, so I'd say always put them in the same place when they aren't being worn! Check on him after he falls asleep to see that he remembered to take them off. And, clean them daily! I'd love to win your zippered glasses case! Thanks for the giveaway! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI wore glasses as a kid, but then I had lasik and don't wear them anymore, but I do still wear sunglasses anytime I'm outside. My parents both wear readers now, it is funny going out to eat with them cause one will always forget their glasses so they take turns sharing the glasses to read the menu!
ReplyDelete(my birthday is Saturday, and this would be such a great birthday present!)
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses and have since I was 18. Though- I need to wear them more often!!
ReplyDeletei have been wearing glasses and later contacts since i was eight (i am 42 now...)just this last year my short/reading/threading a needle! vision has started to be affected...so now even with my contacts i need "readers" to see...and sunglasses when outside...so many glasses now...i recommend glasses with extendable hinges for kids...they won't break as easily..thank you for a great giveaway offer and happy holidays to you and your family.
ReplyDeletebaboatman@yahoo.com
My name is Beth and my little sister wore glasses. My mom tried taping them on her head with masking tape, but she didn't need to because my sister LIKED her glasses - even at 10 months. And she was awfully cute in them!
ReplyDeletebeth(dot)sebastian(at)gmail(dot)com
I love these cases! I wear some sassy purple glasses!
ReplyDeleteI have been wearing (or not wearing them) glasses since 4th grade. My advice is 2 pair. That way there is always a pair in good shape when the other is broken. Thank you for a sweet giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI started wearing glasses when I was 10. I switched to contacts in high school, and now I hardly ever wear glasses anymore. But my sunglasses just float around loose in my purse, and they could definitely use a nice soft home!
ReplyDeleteI wear contacts, but used to wear glasses. When I was in the fifth grade, I found out I was going to need glasses. And the day.... Friday, the 13th. I was sure it was going to be terrible, but I've never really minded as an adult!
ReplyDeleteI wear specs, only for the last 5 or 6 years, and as yet none of my children need them. I agree with the second pair, and those bendy arms that don't snap off - good luck with that!
ReplyDeleteI got my first pair of reading glasses a few months ago! a cute case for them would be great!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
My family's genes are notoriously for bad eyes. I've worn glasses since I was in 2nd grade. And without corrective lenses, I am twice as bad as the legally blind measure. Thank goodness for contacts and glasses! I just got a new pair of specs, so such a stylish case would help them last longer.

I got my glasses the summer between first and second grade...oy veh. Even as we speak (or as I write) I need to go and get a new prescription. I would love to have one of these awesome cases to protect my new glasses!
ReplyDeleteI recommend the glasses with bendable parts and super "giving" hinges for kiddos!
Friends who have small children with glasses say that the rubberized kids glasses are the best. Doesn't prevent them from losing them, but at least they won't break as easily!
ReplyDeleteThankfully I don't wear glasses, but my daughter does since she was 3! It's not a fun thing and they are expensive, especially since her prescription has changed every year for the past three years!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win a beautiful case. I was thinking to use it for my sun glasses.
flexible hindges are the way to go with kids. I have been wearing glasses for years. Since 3rd grade I think. the glass cases are lovely!!
ReplyDeleteI started wearing glasses in the 7th grade. Until then, I didn't know you were supposed to see the blackboard from the back of the room.

i love your pouches..i hate scratches on my sunglasses and this would be perfect! i dont wear glasses :) raineoc@yahoo.com
ReplyDeletei liked you on fb :) raineoc@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI wore glasses as a little girl, and loved them. The secret was that my mom let me choose my own. I chose pink glasses with little silver stars on the corners. I am sure they were tacky as all get out, but I loved them and so I wore them. Oh, here's another hint...when I was about ten I stopped wearing them, just hated having them on. Many battles about it. Finally, we went back to the ophthamologist (sp?) and he said, "Well, her eyes have corrected--that's why she doesn't want to wear them anymore!". So if your child suddenly doesn't prefer them, check to see whether there is a reason related to vision, either improving or getting worse.
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses now, due to middle-aged blurry vision. Sigh.

I had glasses as a kid, but hated them so I never wore them. I managed ok until I started university and had to be sitting in the second row to see the board- I went back to glasses and now I love them - I have choices of thin frames, thicker frames and contacts so I switch it up fairly regularly. Oh astigmatism!
ReplyDeleteI never wore glasses until 3 years ago and now I (have to) wear them everyday. I wasn't thinking on my flight back from Myrtle beach this summer and I wore my contacts and glasses were not in a case in by carry on:( Totally ruined!!
ReplyDeleteYep, a wearer of glasses off an on since fourth grade. The thing with glasses as a kid is that I wish I hadn't worn them in several of my school pictures. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeletetranseau(at)sbcglobal(dot)net
I'm Shelly. I wear glasses. My parents both wear glasses, but my brothers don't. I, for some reason, thought glasses were really cool in 2nd and 3rd grade and would do what I was told I wasn't supposed to (i.e. sit close to the TV) in the hopes that I could make myself need glasses. I told my mom I needed an eye exam in 3rd grade and can't remember if I fudged it a little, but I'm sure regretting the whole thing now! It wasn't long after I got my glasses that I decided they weren't cool after all and stopped wearing them, but my teacher told me I needed to. Arg. I'd love to get some Lasik now!
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses, but I didn't get them till I was 18, so not sure if I have any tips.
ReplyDeleteOh yes--I've worn them since I was in third grade. I started a new school about 3 weeks into the new school year, and on that first day we all had eye exams. A week later, I was stuck in little granny glasses: the new girl AND glasses!
ReplyDeleteThe only glasses I wear are sunglasses. I have quite the collection too! You have to when you live at the beach, and have a toddler ;) Speaking of, the only time she'll wear glasses, is at the beach. Same with hats. Only at the beach. I guess she's already concerned with staying protected!
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating and Happy Holidays!
Count me in I have been wanting a new glasses case for months now and have not done any thing about it, your cases are perfect! I didn't wear glasses till I was in my 40's but my grandson has had them since he was 3 my DIL learned quickly that at night she needed to take them and put them away so they would not get broken in his room in the morning. Hope that helps
ReplyDeletei have glasses. my husband has glasses. and so does my 6 year old son. he's already on his 3rd pair...in a little more than a year...he lost one pair, then broke another. he's doing a much better job taking care of them this go around. he has a special shelf where he puts them every night at bedtime. now if only our cat would leave them alone while on the shelf...
ReplyDeleteI've had glasses since I was 7, and my husband has had his since he was 4 or 5. Our son is nearly 20 months, and I already have the same questions you do in terms of keeping those specs safe! I think your glasses case idea is a good one. Hmmm, I guess I have more research to do on this!! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses. And live in Florida so of course, that also means I wear prescription sunglasses too. (This IS the sunshine state after all!) I'm forever switching between the two. A cute case would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteI had eagle eyes until high school. Things sadly went downhill from there and I finally had to admit I was nearsighted in my early 20's. Oh well.
I wear glasses, but am in denial. Watch out other drivers! JK. I was the only person in my family who hated carrots and did not wear glasses from a young age. My sister's both had glasses, but I did not need them until older adulthood.
ReplyDeletemommy_m(at)hotmail(dot)com
I am always a big fan of cute glasses cases. I started wearing glasses/contacts in high school. I have always been rather accident prone, so I always get the non-scratable lenses. They have held up great. I have only had to replace them when I needed a new script!
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses off and on since I was a teenager. Once I had cataract surgery, all I needed was close-up glasses. And sunglasses, of course. I would love to have one of these glass cases! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI loves orange dots around the circle.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win ^^v

ReplyDeleteI have been wearing glasses since I was 11 (am 29). am used to it now.
ReplyDeleteI started wearing glasses 2 years ago because of the strain on my eyes from graduate school. I have perfect vision, just one eye is a little stronger than the other and it gives me headaches.
ReplyDeleteI started wearing glasses in grade school, advanced to contacts, then lasik, now readers. So yes I wear glasses and am a firm believer in wearing sunglasses. I usually store my readers on top of my head!

I started wearing glasses in elementary school and my recommendation is to get several pairs... zennioptical.com is the place to get great glasses cheap so that you can have back up pairs if they break without costing you a fortune... I use them and have many pairs!

Hi, I`m Silke, 47 years old and if I will not get some new glasses in a short time, I`ll not able to see myself in the mirror anymore!
ReplyDeleteMy children don`t wear glasses, but I know from other parents, that`s a good idea to buy glasses made out of unbreakable material...

ReplyDeleteLoverly glasses cases, defo something I could do with as I don't have a case for my sunglasses! I've worn glasses since I was in my 20s I think, I prefer not to wear them too much though, just when I need them to stay alive, like when I'm walking or driving ;-)

ooh, i love the yellow chevrons- so stylish!
ReplyDeleteHello, Very stylish was to keep your sunglasses. I wore glasses starting in 3rd grade, at age 16 I had saved enough to purchase my first pair of contact lenses. Then at age 45 I was lucky enough to have lasik surgery. So no more glasses for me. I do however wear readers and sunglasses whenever I'm outside. Thanks for the chance to win your great giveaway. I wear glasses for up-close work & driving in the dark. I got my first pair at about 13. They were really cool bright red ones but they got left on the bus on the way home from school! (a red London bus) I was too scared to tell my parents for MONTHS afterwards. My replacement pair were hideous as I had to choose from the free NHS range. Sadly they never got lost!
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses all the time. Started in 2nd grade.
ReplyDeleteI have worn them for a couple of years for long distance so I don't need them all the time. I have no tips on kids with glasses but I have advice from a friend, if you drop a contact lens at a punk gig, don't pick it up, spit on it and put it back in, you will have a very sore eye for a long time. (it was a glass lens and was cracked, ouch)
ReplyDeleteI need that.. I'm wearing spectacular.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the generous giveaway and a chance to win!
I need glasses to read and use my computer so I need them with me ALL the time. Your cases are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter came to need glasses when in high school and I made sure the trip to go try them on, find frames and order them was a fun trip and we went out to dinner afterwards. I wanted her to feel the glasses would ADD to her style and help her be more of who she is. She was comfortable wearing them right away, which was my goal.

LOVE your cases!! I wear glasses and just got prescription sunglasses. All my children wear glasses. They had their share of accidents but the worst was my daughter just got her new glasses and went to her friends for a sleepover. She took her glasses off and sat them on the bed and then sat on them. Good thing we bought the insurance!! gelswood@aol.com
ReplyDeleteCute cases! I have astigmatism so I should probably wear glasses, but I don't. Sometimes I can see perfectly clear, other times things are blurry far away.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Tanja and email is african.joy at hotmail dot com. I wear glasses and your cases are absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteLove these! I wear glasses/contacts and my hubby wears glasses.
ReplyDeleteI started wearing glasses when I was 8. My 1st pair were Punjab Pink! My glasses always broke during gym class. I don't know how many times I was hit in the face by sports equipment.Mom always paid extra for the replacement policy!
ReplyDeleteAnd I like you on FB!
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses since I was about 9 yrs old. I buy 2 at a time now because I always end up scratching them so soon. I also have computer glasses and prescription sunglasses. I need an arsenal of bags to hold them all in a pretty way! My son doesn't wear glasses at the moment. I think it's a godsend that I do wear glasses with all the times I've been hit with a tennis ball fast towards my face and couldn't get out of the way, they've probably saved my eyes.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new Follower, thanks for the 2nd chance.
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm Teje, Finnish woman living in Greece. I wear glasses since I was 16. Under the hot Greek sun I need also sunglasses every day. And I do need a case for them! Thank you so much for sharing one!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!

Cute cases!
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing glasses since I was 9. My whole family has them. Of my husband and my son, I'm the only one so far. I actually wear contacts more.. but these cases are pretty darn cute.. maybe they'd make me want to wear my glasses more often!

Cute glasses cases! Neither myself or my husband or either of our kids wear glasses, so sorry, can't help you out. But thanks for the giveaway.

I got glasses when I was 9, but I had probably needed them for a while before that. I remember being shocked that I could see individual leaves when I looked at a tree when before I could just see green! My eyes were bad enough that I didn't take them off, except at night, so I never lost them or put them on the railroad tracks when a train was coming. I did know a kid who accidentally threw his glasses away with his lunch at school and had to fish through the trash bags from the cafeteria.
ReplyDeleteThis case is right up my alley because I have prescription sunglasses, too, and I have to switch back and forth whenever I go in or out of a building! If I win, I would like the pink floral one with the polka dot pleats.
Merry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteI had to start wearing glasses in grade 5 and I was EMBARRASSED. I just hated them. One of the best days of my life came in grade 9 when my parents let me get contacts. But thankfully they have much nicer glasses, and more available choices for kids glasses.
ReplyDeleteLove these! I wear glasses, but only when I can't have my contacts in...so sleeping. But I always have my sunglasses handy...and usually pretty scratched. I was told I needed glasses when I was 12 and I went straight with contacts so I'm not much help, but my brother wore glasses from the time he was a toddler and his baby pics are CUTE.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear glasses, but my sister does. She got them in 5th grade. The worst mishap she had was when she lost a pair of prescription sunglasses while whitewater rafting. Those glasses lanyard things are important! (As are glasses cases). akmajor (at) gmail (dot) com
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous giveaway. Thanks for participating. I don't wear glasses and neither do any of my three children which is surprising since my husband has worn glasses since childhood.
ReplyDeleteI'm Kelli and my husband and daughter wear glasses. Emma got her's last spring when she was in 1st grade. She couldn't see the board from her seat and was just making her spelling words up (she's a great reader and speller btw). She has to wear hers all day, but my tip is to get little lens cleaners for him to keep in his backpack because Emma let's her's get filthy during the day! Love the little bags by the way, so cute!
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses and have since second grade. I do have a couple of spare pairs for certain activities (like swimming...yes, I'm that near sighted) so a case would come in handy for switching from one pair to another.
ReplyDeleteI'm Libby, I've been wearing glasses since the 2nd grade, when I realized I couldn't see the chalkboard anymore.
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance!

I have been wearing glasses since I was 15. My daughter got them in third grade and luckily has always been very careful with them. She does have contacts now so we have bottles of solution and contacts holders in every bathroom.
ReplyDeleteI am also a follower....thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI am Holly and need a good place to keep my sunglasses, I always loose them.

Hi! I'm Deborah, I only got reading glasses three years ago. I'm not sure that I actually need them, but I love wearing them and forget them at home far too often. A fashionable case would provide additional motivation to remember to take them along.

My daughter got glasses when he was in 1st grade. I always had a back up pair for her and we taught her how to clean and care for the lenses. We made it fun and an important job so she felt proud to look after them. A great case makes a difference as well. One that they are not worried about pulling out of their bag.
ReplyDeleteI'm Marguerite... I got some cute eyeglasses once... rarely wear them (I'd rather squint than have something on my face, apparently!). But I had the hardest time with sunglasses, always breaking them or sitting on them or losing them... until my trendy cousin got me some moviestar glasses (you know, with huge lenses - at least compared to the little John Lennon ones I'd been wearing) at a discount store several years ago -- and I haven't lost or broken those yet!
ReplyDeleteI have been wearing readers for a while but just had an eye appointment yesterday and decided to go with full time glasses. I ordered 3 pair so your case would be awesome! I love the green one in your shop
ReplyDeleteI just got a new pair of glasses for Christmas and now I need this cute little glasses case for them! ha

Thank you so much for the opportunity;)
I forget where I leave my glasses, all the time. And, more often than not, I find them exactly where I left them--on my head!
ReplyDeleteI got glasses when I was 10...
ReplyDeleteHi there, I'm Jo and I wear glasses! And DESPERATELY need a good case for my prescription sunglasses! I didn't get my glasses until I was in college (or maybe it was high school?), so don't really have good tips for getting kids to take care of them. I'd say to make sure to get durable glasses with the spring release!
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses and would love to put them in the yellow chevron case. It is awesome. Thanks for the chance to win! stephspitzer at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteI started wearing glasses in 2nd grade. I remember the first day I wore them to class - I was sooo worried everyone would make fun of me. But all my friends liked them because they were pink. :) To help protect them, I would suggest making a special place for him to keep them at night when he goes to bed. I used to always forget to take them off and had to find them lost in the sheets the next morning.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I love this one:

They are so cute! Yes, I wear glasses. I'm practically blind without them (or contacts), no exaggeration. I have horrible eyesight.
